1.1.6- Warmers Update Bugfixes


The Warmers update is here! The 1.1.5 update added toggleable arm and leg warmers, and several other minor updates to the avatar. 1.1.6 fixes several bugs that were caused by version 1.1.5.

What is new in 1.1.6?

  • 🛑It is recommended to make a backup of your existing project or creating a new project for this version as there are several significant changes🛑

1.1.5

  • Added blend shapes to the body to change the chest size.
    • Updated the body normal map to support this
    • Breast bones were also added for physbone support
  • Added Arm and Leg Warmers
    • 10 Pride Themed textures for the warmers are included (see screenshots for examples)
      • Additional textures can be created using theWarmers Substance Painter file or the Photoshop files included inside of the Unity package. 
    • Several animations were updated to support the warmers
    • Menus, Parameters, and Controllers were to support the warmers
    • The warmers optional, and a separate prefab has been set up with the arm and leg warmers preconfigured. 
      • A new scene file has been added for version 1.1.5 which includes the Original avatar prefab and the new Warmers Prefab. 
  • Updated Blender file with Arm and Leg Warmers
  • Poi Prefabs reconfigured
  • Updated the finger roll configuration. The fingers should clip less with the palm of the hand.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed an issue where some objects might have caused the nameplate in VRChat to appear high above the player’s head, but it is still possible for this to happen
    • Fixed several skin weighting issues

1.1.6

  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed an issue with Plantigrade skin weights
      • The Blender file has also been updated to reflect this change
    • Updated Chest size animation to fix a bug where the phys bone would not properly activate
      • Chest animations have been updated to include the phys bone toggles at all values
      • The chest bones will only activate at 25% or higher. This is because the bones cause the chest to look strange when there is not enough mass
  • Added Squishable settings to many phys bone chains
    • Physbones have been updated from 1.0 to 1.1 along with the latest VRChat SDK. 
  • Modified FX controller for gesture transitions
    • Transition durations for all expressions have been updated from .1 to .2. This should result in smoother facial expression transitions.
  • Reduced the size of many texture import settings
    • In an effort to keep VRAM usage down, the size of several texture import settings have been reduced. The actual size of the textures has not been changed, so if you adjust the texture import settings on any existing textures you will be able to change them back to their original size.
  • The tail will now collide with the floor collider
    • Thanks Micca for the idea! The floor collider already existed, so I hooked up the collision for the tail bone chain so that it will collide with the floor. This can be seen best when the user is seated in VR. 
  • Turned off vertex options on the Poi shader (Icosphere) as it was causing issues
    • For whatever reason, the vertex height on the Icosphere material was causing the Poi to fly off into the distance as I was testing it. I’ll revisit this if I update the shader version in a future release.
